Executive Director’s April Report

Well it seems as if the pandemic is being considered over. Children are
back at school and if you wear a mask at a store; you’re pretty much stared
at. Hope you have all gotten your shots and have stayed healthy.

Election for the Chapter Board of Directors is this June and we always have
room for new ideas and enthusiasm. If you are interested please call (602)

244-9168 or email us at azpva@azpva.org.

We seem to be the only lending closet left in Phoenix. An average day we

have 4-6 drop offs off medical equipment and supplies. Before the
pandemic it seemed nobody was willing to bring medical equipment to us. I
assume the people really want it used as opposed to watching it sit at

               home with them.

We are getting the apartments ready for chair bound renters and are

starting to work with VA for ensuring the apartments meet their standards.
The costs add up quickly and the large influx of population has added to
the wait time of dealing with reasonable contractors.

There no shortage of need out there and if you are on FaceBook you can
see the outreach we are doing in the community

I apologize if this article seems a little more dull than usual. Spending the
               last year trying to move, not go anywhere, no picnics or sporting events;
not even trips to the different hospitals has made it tough to give you
information. What are you doing? How are you passing the time? No issues

               with VA healthcare?

Please be safe, no matter how your passing the time

               Peter Quinn, Executive Director
