National Directors Report

I’m currently in the San Diego SCI center for my annual physical. Usually
happens about every five years or when I need a procedure done. Lucked

out this time and made it here in two years since my last visit! Joking
aside, I’ve been busy reviewing documents etc. for the upcoming National
Board of Directors meeting next month in Orlando, Fl. on October 17-21.

I’m happy to report that pay raises came through for all paid PVA
employees. I haven’t heard what the percentage was, but I’m hearing
employees are happy!

Still waiting for any news or updates on HISA grant increases.

I attended training in Washington DC on September 5 & 6 for the National
Director position. Training went well. I know I have a lot to learn!

If we have members having problems with equipment, supplies etc., please
let us know about it. One example of supplies is with latex gloves. The VA
was sending out 3 boxes at a time and they cut it back to 1 box. This is
being investigated by PVA.

I’m now on the Field Advisory Committee with National. This committee
checks on SCI centers across the country. Right now, we are doing all

visits virtually until things get better with the covid situation. That’s all for
now.
