DAV Services:

            •  The DAV services in northern Arizona remain unavailable until DAV reopens their operations.
            •  The DAV is recruiting for the position of Hospital Service Coordinator/Transportation
               Coordinator, and they raised the salary to $15 an hour.
            •  NAVAHCS has been promoting the vacant position for the DAV as well as sharing information
               with Veterans in reference to Beneficiary Travel for appointments and eligibility detail and
               information for this as well as sharing information about using VA Veterans Connect for
               appointments (VVC). If a Veteran utilizes VVC for their appointment, there is NO COPAY
               required.
            •  Any Veteran enrolled at NAVAHCS who is actively receiving care is authorized to utilize
               Veteran Transportation Services (VTS) through NAVAHCS. Please call 928-445-4860 ext.
               6046 to schedule your VTS shuttle.

        NAVAHCS Events & Updates:

            •  Mr. Fisher, VISN 22 Network Director visited NAVAHCS this past week. He walked through the
               areas and met with our leadership team to go over COVID-19 updates and other information.
               He presented VISN 22 coins to some clinical staff in the CLC and Acute Care areas as well as
               admin staff to say thank you for their hard work throughout the pandemic and other challenges
               our amazing staff were able to overcome.
            •  The first Verde Valley Stand Down was held Friday, March 25  at the Cottonwood Recreation

               Center with approximately 200 people in attendance.
            •  NAVAHCS participated in a Vietnam War Veteran Day Event at the American Legion Post 6 on
                          th
               March 29 . It was a successful event in which the Mayor of Prescott, Phil Goode who is also a
               Vietnam Veteran presented the Proclamation from the City. NAVAHCS was honored to
               recognize and present more than 50 Vietnam Era Veterans with their 50  Anniversary

               Commemoration items.
            •  NAVAHCS hosted a Virtual Women’s History Month Event in collaboration with Federal
               Women’s Program on March 30 . Over 40 people joined the event.

            •  Arizona Coalition of Military Families & Be Connected are hosting their annual Virtual

            •  NAVAHCS is hosting a Blood Drive on May 10  in the Theater, Bldg. 15 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30

            •  The 10  Annual Lance Davidson Memorial High Country Stand Down will be held in Flagstaff
               on May 20  at the Armory, 320 N. Thorpe Road.

        Housing Updates for Veterans:

            •  The US Vets Grant Per Diem program (GPD) currently transitionally houses 57 homeless
               Veterans.
            •  Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County GPD in Kingman transitionally houses 24
               homeless Veterans.
            •  The new U.S. Vets Frail Elderly program transitionally houses 9 Veterans.
