•  The VA is cancelling/refunding first party Copayments and cost shares for all Medical
               appointments and Medication fills for Dates of Service between April 6, 2020 – September
               30, 2021. The final phase of ARP refunds is nearing completion with outliers being reviewed
               manually.

            •  Modified statements have resumed for the July 26  billing cycle and are informational only as
               Veterans are not required to make payments for pre-pandemic debts until after September 30,
               2021.

        NAVAHCS Events & Activities:

            •  NAVAHCS recently received an amazing donation of $3,000 from the American Legion Riders
               Post 6 for our Domiciliary patients in the form of $100 gift cards for Target.
            •  We received a donation of $500 from the Elks Lodge 330. This donation will be used to provide
               rooms at the Holiday Inn for Veterans who are traveling to the main hospital in Prescott for
               their appointment and need lodging. The Elks Lodge 330 also donated 100 folding chairs for
               NAVAHCS to use for outdoor events and activities. In total, the Elks donated approximately
               $2500.
            •  NAVAHCS CLC received a pizza donation from the Special Forces Association. The Veterans
               were so happy to still be able to receive this annual donation even with the COVID-19
               restrictions.

            •  NAVAHCS helped Mr. Bret Grey celebrate his 100  Birthday! Mr. Grey is a WWII Navy
               Veteran who has been receiving his care at NAVAHCS since he and his wife moved to the
               area several decades ago. Mr. Grey was so appreciative that we took the time to recognize
               him on his special day.
            •  NAVAHCS is working with local partnerships for the 20  Anniversary of 9/11 Remembrance.

               The event is taking place on September 11  at noon and again at 6:30 p.m. It will be in
               Downtown Prescott at the Square. Everyone is invited to attend. We will have guest speakers,
               Patriot Guard Riders, Native Air Flyover, and a candlelight vigil for the evening ceremony. Any

            Housing Updates for Veterans:
            •  Kingman Veterans Villas project-based VA Supportive Housing opened in September 2020
               and recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by County dignitaries and Senator Mark
               Kelly. The Villas project currently houses 48 formerly homeless Veterans, and was in
               partnership with Mohave County Housing Authority, the VA, Arizona Department of Housing,
               American Express, Rocky Mountain Community Reinvestment Corporation and US Bank.
               Adams Construction & Management Company built the facility.
            •  The Grant and Per Diem Program (GPD) currently has 20 Veterans housed through the
               Transition in Place program, and 64 Veterans in U.S. Vets Grant and Per Diem transitional
               housing. The Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council of Mohave County currently houses 4 Veterans
               in Transitional Housing.
            •  NAVAHCS Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) project has continued its work in preparation for
               construction of the residential units at NAVAHCS for as many as 86 homeless Veterans
               through the VA Supportive Housing Program (VASH) and is estimated to open in early 2023.
            •  The census of the H-PACT Kingman team continues to serve over 145 Veterans on the panel.
            •  This month we welcome our new Prescott Homeless Outreach Social Worker and Hopi Tribal
               VASH Social Worker in Flagstaff and are in the process of hiring a VA Supportive Housing
               Social Worker in Prescott and Grant Per Diem Social Worker in Kingman.
