Market Assessments
• We have a year of review by the AIR Commission ahead of us.
• Recommendations are just that until fully approved.
• We will begin strategically prioritizing the national list of opportunities during this time and
performing detailed planning of the recommendations that re approved thereafter.
• Major infrastructure changes remain years away, however minor changes, such as clinic
moves, and lease expiration may occur sooner – but we still have time.
• On average it takes 6 years for a new clinic to open and 11 – 13 years to execute.
• VA will remain the center of Veteran care and will continue to lead U.S. health care into the
future.
• The past two years have been rough for everyone throughout the pandemic, and we continue
to move past and provide outstanding care to our Nation’s heroes.
• We will continue to share our work as we proceed, to keep everyone informed. This is both an
extension of Secretary McDonough’s transparency pledge and simple the right thing to do.
Trust Scores:
• VHA Outpatient Services Survey of the past 90 days shows an 89.6% Trust Score rating which
indicates Veterans trust NAVAHCS with their care. VISN 22 Trust Score was 89.1% for the
same period.
