• Veterans Day Vigil: November 10 at 10:30 a.m. – November 11 at 10:30 a.m. Embry

Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Army and Air Force ROTC will be performing a 24-hour
Vigil at the Court House in Downtown Prescott (northside). Just before the Veterans Day
Parade Opening, the ERAU ROTC will be relieved of their duty by a WWII Veteran.
• Veterans Day Parade: November 11 at 11 a.m. in Downtown Prescott. Anyone who is

interested in participating in the parade that does not have an entry is welcome to join
NAVAHCS in the parade. This year’s theme: WWII – Celebrating the Greatest Generation.

Housing Updates for Veterans:
• The VA Supportive Housing Program has begun admitting certain categories of homeless
Veterans whose discharge type would render them otherwise ineligible for VA care, expanding
the ability of the VASH program to house homeless Veterans in our communities, and is
coordinating closely with Enrollment.
• The HCHV Program is participating in a national Rideshare program to be able to provide Uber
and Lyft rides to homeless Veterans to get to necessary appointments such as medical
appointments and employment.
• U.S VETS has a new transitional housing program for frail and elderly Veterans who need
assistance with activities of daily living.
• NAVAHCS Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) project has continued its work in preparation for
construction of the residential units at NAVAHCS and is looking to be able to serve as many as
104 homeless Veterans through the VA Supportive Housing Program (VASH) and is estimated
to open in late 2022 to early 2023.
Vocational Rehabilitation:
• Over 60 Veterans obtained competitive employment in FY21
• The CWT Vocational Rehabilitation Program is now providing monthly Federal Resume
Workshops at US Vets.
