Step back in time, today!
Alexander Archbold is an Edmonton Entrepreneur
and collector; founder and curator of Curiosity Inc.
He shares his journey of curiosity with teenLook.
TL - When did your passion for collecting start?
My passion for collecting started when I was about nine years old. My
family was going through some very hard times and I realized I had a
knack for buying and reselling items I would find at garage sales.
TL - How did you spot the items that had value?
I was always uniquely interested in history because it was and still is
cool! That knowledge base and my keen eye is what helped me find the
valuable items.
TL - How did your collecting shape your life and where you are today?
I had a very stable job in the tech industry, but was still collecting and
reselling as a hobby. It was my dream to open an antique store when I
retired. My wife is so supportive of my dreams and she asked me why
should I wait till then? I agreed and decided to take the leap and follow
my heart. It’s been four years now and we couldn’t be more happy with
how things have turned out.
