“the most beautiful Ziegfeld Girl”
Discovered by Ziegfeld himself at age 17, he put her in ‘No
Foolin’ & was a part of Ziegfeld Follies of 1927 which ran for 167
performances at the New Amsterdam Theatre.
Sadly, she died at the young age of 21 due to a heart condition
that was worsened by strenuous swimming and an acute sun-
burn.
