                   The Glastonbury Dementia Action Alliance

We are the Glastonbury branch of this organisation which is
spread across England. We connect and share best practice
and take action on dementia. Everything we do is in
partnership, and informed by people living with dementia, and
               those that care for them.

We were formed in 2010 with the launch of the National
Dementia Declaration. This saw members commit to actions
that radically improve the lives of people living with dementia.
Today, our members continue to make commitments, using
their collective expertise to influence Government policy and
societal attitudes towards dementia. We aim to deliver basic dementia friends training to as
many members of our community as possible, young and old so as to encourage a dementia
friendly ethos and to link with other towns in the area to increase outreach to people with
dementia and their careers in rural areas around the town.
