Auction:What an Exit!
• Father Martin contributed not only his grandest father clock ever but also a hand-crafted, antique- style cradle.
• The “fund-a-project” bidding competition netted support for a new weight room in the gym and other projects.
• Information and auction items were all available to preview on the Priory’s web site.
• Net proceeds were a record $170,000.
Mark your calendars now for Auction 2000 - May 6 at the Hotel Sofitel. The art deco French theme, Passsage toParis, promisesasoireemagnifiqueinthe ambiance of a grand ocean liner and 1930s Paris.
Cindy and Wayne Davison, last year’s Co-Chairs, are throwing the party again.
WPS’s last big party of the century was an affair to remember - The 20th CENTURY LIMITED Auction and Ball set a standard for fun, glamour and financial success. Among the “firsts:”
• A new setting, the Hotel Sofitel on the San Francisco Bay waterfront, gracefully accommodated the largest party ever, with about 330 guests.
• A student-designed and constructed canoe, the Wee Lassie, impressed the crowd and brought in funds that were shared between WPS and a student- selected charity.
