middle of the room, with chairs neatly lined up along its side. My heart untwisted the knot it had pulled itselfinto as I had waited outside. A knot I either hadn’t realized was there, or didn’t want to acknowledge. I stepped in, and locked the door behind me, heading towards the room I called my own.
A ceiling which I had stared at so many times before, lying down, stared back at me. Of course, it had nothing to say, as it was only a blank white expanse. I folded my hands beneath my head, feeling the hard mattress beneath. It was a little cold,
but there was nothing to be done about that. I’d like it it it were warm, but sometimes, it was just easier to lie there, and take it all. I sighed deeply, and closed my eyes to dream.
