The spiritual community adds a unique support system to Priory.
vault of grace
Whether students are religious or not,
everyone in the school comes together and participates in Priory traditions that have been present since the opening of the school.
Our rich spiritual history sets us apart from other schools and makes us unique. Every Tuesday, students of all ages, from sixth to twelfth grade gather together to participate in songs, hymns, and ceremonies that make us as a school grow closer. During these masses, a special speaker is chosen to make a speech. This person could be anyone from a student who would like to share advice, or one of our faculty members who would like to give out words of wisdom. Each one of these speeches is unique, for no two people tell the same story. These
stories give a genuine view into the mind and mentality of the speaker and ultimately give us as a community a good moral to reflect on.
This year, we underwent the tragic passing of our beloved Brother Edward. At this time, our spiritual community grew stronger than ever as we all came together to mourn the loss of such a significant part of our school. Every student and faculty member was there to support each other in this time. This was when the true spirituality of Priory came to light; as students and teachers alike leaned on each other in prayer and mourning, it became clear that the community's spiritual lines run deep and strong. Without this, Priory wouldn't be the same close knit community it is today.
