this could be the start

Despitemuchdoubt, the ofsomethingnew softball team pulled off a
killer season.
Against all odds, the girls' varsity softball team was off to a great start. With a daily warm-up routine involving runs to Roberts, hill sprints on the priory hill, and various workouts taken from Insanity, the team had iron thighs by the start of the season. Coach Corinne Fogg, who came from Massachusetts, braved the California heat in hopes of leading her team to victory. Assistant coach Amanda Bolsinger, (also assistant coach last year), was likewise delighted to have such a hardworking team this year.
Willing and tireless, the Priory Varsity Softball team worked through a season of growth and development this spring. Though fortunate to have many returning players, knowledgeable about the game and hungry to improve, many fresh players, including four seniors who had never before

played softball, stepped onto the field uncertain of what this season would bring. Battling through “road rash” from stealthy sliding, an occasional bruise and one black eye from errant grounders, and the traditional aches and pains of a new season, the girls were focused and determined every step of the way.
This spring was one of growth as the girls worked to build a program under the two new coaches and despite the doubt raining on them from many members of the Priory community. Ultimately, the girls came away from the season with a better understanding of the game, increased confidence in fielding and batting, fantastic tanlines, and a genuine appreciation of a season of fun in the sun, Truly, this was one phenomenal group of bad mama-jamas!
