With a large number of new tennis players on the middle school team, both coaches and members are excited for the new season. Coach Celso Onofre shares his views on the newly improved team. “We have some good players for singles, and it looks like doubles will be better than last year.” Another addition to the team is Coach Mike Loftis, who shared his goals with the team on the
first day of practice, “I hope we win a few games. We've had a great season so far. We're undefeated. I hope everybody improves. We got a few beginners but they've already gotten better.” The players are all working hard under the intense heat, already setting goals for their future in tennis. “I want to learn to serve better, because I'm not very good” said Chris Russell (8).
