Interested in creating unique, eccentric characters and portraying them in multiple ways? Want to engage in various activities such as improv games and stage combat or even create your own theater company? Drama is just right for you! In addition to the three wonderful plays Priory produces every year, a wide variety of Drama courses are offered. voice should be heard. There is Drama, in which students are able to engage themselves in a wide variety of activities such as improvisational games, creation of characters enacting professionally written and student written scenes, and many more. Drama 2 thrusts students into an experience like no other, where students get to play out a series of one-act plays in their own theater company.
Furthermore, Drama decides to focus on unlocking the crazily creative parts of the brain and allows students to express themselves in a new and unique way and aims to build numerous acting skills that have been encompassed into one course as well as confidence. Quite a few students had great things to say about the Drama Program. Morgan Serughetti (9) says “my favorite part about Drama are all the activities we get to do with trust”. Another student, Maxwell Leiter (9) says “I joined Drama to have fun with Mr. Sugden...my favorite part is learning stage combat.”. Overall, Drama is an immersive, fun program that teaches confidence, trust , awareness, and a wide variety of acting principles that help students both on and off the stage.
