Welcome to your Autumn 2023 Newsletter and, as always, thank
you so much to all contributors for making it more like a little
informative Keesie magazine these days.
By the time you receive it November will be here and another year
ebbing away. Time is so precious and the only thing that can’t be bought no
matter how wealthy you are. Having lost She-She in spring at 17¼ I now
have to face her two ‘puppies’, Swingley and Molly-Loupe, being 13½. It’s
terrifying how the years pass. If a dog’s year equals seven of our own does
that mean that a day feels like a whole week to them? It might explain why
they so long to spend as much time in our company as possible and greet us
so hugely when we’ve had to leave them for even a short time; it maybe feels
seven times longer to them. Certainly every hour is precious when life is short.
I’ve written a piece in this edition on items I’ve found very useful with my
dogs; I may even do a ‘Part Two’ but how about you writing in and sharing
your little gems? It’s a minefield out there as many products that work with
most breeds often don’t with Keeshonden with their thick coats etc.
And finally, as I mentioned last time, don’t forget that although the Newsletter
now has a digital presence if you would prefer a paper copy you just have to
let our secretary, Geraldine, know in good time and she will post one out to
you as they are also still being printed.
