MOT Expiry Dates

 An MOT lasts for one year. The date it runs out is printed on your

current MOT pass certificate.

 You can get an MOT up to a month (minus a day) before it runs out

and keep the same renewal date. - MTS will automatically predate

the MOT by up to one calendar month (13 months less 1 day, for

example if your MOT is due to run out on 15 May, the earliest you

can get it done is 16 April.)

 When issuing a CT20 Certificate ‘expiry date’ must only be 12

months less one day from the date of the test itself irrespective of

whether a current test certificate still has time to run or it is an

early first test.
