Scenario: Printing a duplicate VT20
In the Documentation section, we looked at printing duplicate
certificates. If you do not follow the correct procedure, it could result in
500 points and garage closure!
Fraud, Dishonesty or Gross Negligence 500 points (close garage)
1. A replacement or duplicate VT20 is issued unjustifiably.
2. A bribe is accepted for the issue of a VT20.
3. The issue of a VT20 or VT30 to vehicles ‘which have attended a VTS in which their start
and finish test time recorded in the MOT testing service would not allow a full
examination to be carried out.
What evidence could you provide to show that the duplicates you printed
were legitimate and you requested this information from the customer?
