A Tester’s approval or AE’s authorisation will cease in the

form of either:

1. Short Term Cessation, for a period of 28 calendar days

2. Cessation, for a period of 2 or 5 years.

Where the outcome is either form of cessation a Tester

or AE must reapply to be accepted back into the MOT

Service. What you have to do depends on:

1. Why you stopped testing

2. How long you stopped testing for

3. What is your role
