               1.  All  04  NGT  stations  of  HYB  division  i.e.  KCG,  KRNT,  NZB  and  BSX  stations
                    Environment and Housekeeping Activity monitored by EnHM wing from Mechanical
                    branch.

               2.  Segregation of Bio-degradable & Bon-Biodegradable Waste: The Segregation
                    of  Bio-degradable  &  Non-Biodegradable Waste  is  being  done  on  daily  basis  and
                    same is handed over at nominated place of respective municipalities.

               3.  Wet waste to Compost methods are following at NGT stations:

                    Three  De-compost  machines  available  at  stations  i.e.  KCG  –  1
                    (125 KG), KRNT – 1 (50   KG), NZB – 1 (50 KG) is maintained
                    and supervised by EnHm wing.
                    De-composting  machine  producing  high  quality  organic  manure
                    per week and the manure is being supplied to various units for the
                    use  of  plants  and  gardens  at  administrative  building,  office
                    bungalow and gardens at stations premises which is an effective
                    use in place of inorganic fertilizers.

                    For other station:

                    Vermicelli Compost Pit is provided at BSX station.

                    The manure from vermicelli compost is taken away once in six months and utilized
                    for the trees and plants at station, running room and railway colonies.

               4.  PET Bottle Crushing Machines

                   PET  Bottle  Crushing  Machines  installed  16  nos.  at  the  following
                   stations i.e. KCG-07, NZB-02, BSX-1, KRNT-3, FM-1, MJF-1, MXT-1.

                   PET  bottles  are  collected  from  station,  rag  picking  and  the  MCC  &
                   OEM  coaching  rake  maintenance  are  fed  into  bottle  crushing
                   machine. The crushed recyclable plastic sold to the agency and the
                   amount deposited at Station booking counter and figured as non-fare
                   revenue.

               5.  Automatic Coach washing plant at KCG station

                   ACWP:  Automatic  Coach  washing  plant  at  KCG  station
                   Cost of the plant is 1.26 Cr. and AMOC cost for 5 years is Rs. 98
                   lakhs. For one rake to be washed by using ACWP 1440 litres of
                   fresh  water  and  5760  litres  of  recycled  water  is  being  used
                   whereas  on  manual washing  3600  litres  of fresh  water is  being
                   used saving 60% of water.  One operator per shift is required to
                   operate  the  machine  and  one  entire  rake  is  getting  washed  in
                   duration of 15 minutes. The rake has to be moved at a speed of 5
                   to  8  KMPH  for  effective  cleaning.  At  Kacheguda  depot  160
                   coaches will be washed every day.
