ABBEY
A BBE Y
LETTER FROM
A LOWER SIXTH
When I joined Abbey in Year 10, I automatically knew this
was a place I was happy to call home for the next four years.
With Miss Rose as my Houseparent I have felt nothing but
comfortable and as if i can be myself all the time.
Abbey is a house where all the girls treat each other fairly and
with love. Since being at Millfield, the netball team has been
the most cohesive and sister-like group for me. I am extremely
lucky as in Abbey, all the staff help to accommodate the late
evening bus journeys back and early morning tournaments. The
support system is something that I will cherish moving further
throughout life.
When I am not busy with netball on Sundays, I tend to spend
my mornings going to brunch with my friends and sometimes
going into Street for a bit of lunch and a shop! As a house we
have a quiet hour in which all the girls settle down for the
evening and catch up on some prep for the upcoming week. On
Sundays, Miss Rose also treats us to ‘Sunday treat’ where every
week we get a different snack after roll call.
I feel extremely lucky to be able to call Abbey home, as I love
how welcoming and fun the house is!
