CORE SKILLS AND ATTAINMENT

During Year 7 and Year 8, you need to focus on developing your CORE SKILLS. These are:

PARTICIPATION
ORGANISATION
PRESENTATION
INDEPENDENCE
DIGITAL SKILLS

You will receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold throughout the year in your subjects for Core Skills.

You will also be graded on ATTAINMENT in all your subjects.

P Platinum you are at an exceptional standard

G Gold you are exceeding the expected standard

S Silver you are at the expected standard for your year group

B Bronze you are approaching the expected standard for your year group

B/L Base level you are not yet approaching the expected standard for your year group

You will receive a Basel level, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum grade for Attainment.

Teachers will help you to identify how to continue to make progress and set you targets. Your targets will be
published in your reports and your Group Tutor will also give you a copy of your report targets.

You will be given the opportunity to set your own targets to work towards at the start of each term. Your Group
Tutor will guide you through this.
