EWAN

Ewan grew up in Street, Somerset,
and was attending a local state school
when he had the opportunity to join
           Millfield on a scholarship and
significant bursary in 2018. The lock
forward made his England U18 debut
           against Scotland in March 2019,
currently plays for the Senior Bath
           Rugby Academy, and believes his
career pathway to date would not
have been possible for him had he not
           attended Millfield.

I have lived in Street all my life and
           obviously I knew about Millfield’s
reputation for sporting excellence, but I
never thought I would have the
opportunity to come to a school like
Millfield. I was over the moon when I
           was awarded the scholarship and
bursary as I knew just how amazing the
school was and I was excited to see
           where it would take me.

Attending the school as a day pupil in
Lower Sixth, I chose to study BTEC
Sport and was immediately part of such
a fantastic rugby programme. I am
really proud, that just 6 months later, I
had the first opportunity to represent
           my country in rugby.

           Millfield helped massively with my
academic studies because the class sizes
were so small compared to what I was
used to at my previous schools. It
allowed me to have that one-on-one
teaching which is how I learn the best.
This really made it easier for me with
everything in my studies and with my
busy schedule on the sports field.
“ Millfield helped shows what it can do for people. It’s
I feel that Millfield opened the doors to massively with my changed my life massively and opened
all the opportunities and career path I doors to all different things and I’m so
have enjoyed so far. If I hadn’t gone to academic studies grateful for that.
Millfield I wouldn’t of had the
opportunities that I’ve had, such as because the class To anyone who is considering donating
