FOUNDATION

Millfield has a long tradition of philanthropy, dating back to the founding
of the school by Boss Meyer in 1935. His vision enabled talented pupils
to attend the school despite their financial circumstances. Today, this
diversity of background and talent is prominent within the school, providing
an exceptional environment and our defining Millfield Mix. Our aim is to
continue Boss’ ambitions and offer more assisted places so that a greater
number of children can experience a Millfield education.

To continue these founding values, we have an overarching goal of
raising £100 million to significantly increase the number of fully-funded
transformational bursaries, as part of our Discover Brilliance Campaign.
