As soon as I became the Housemaster of Shapwick I realised that it was a house which was a large, extended family. The
MANTELL PAVILION
values of the house are clear, we look after and care for each other and this is why Shapwick has a keen sense of community
at its heart. If these values are not adhered to, we are bold and strong enough to address them head on, and every student
knows this. Everyone in Shapwick has a responsibility to uphold these values.

Butleigh Astros I would like to think that every student coming to Shapwick is interested, and interesting, in everything that they do. Again,
if they are not, they are guided to areas which may challenge yet excite them so that they can make the most of all the
wonderful opportunities that Millfield and Shapwick can give them.
