KINGWESTON
WELCOME TO Built in the late eighteenth century, Kingweston House is
beautifully set amid stunning surroundings with spectacular,
KINGWESTON far-reaching views. Our students enjoy exceptional facilities,
including a well-equipped gym, tennis courts, basketball court,
floodlight football pitch, beautiful gardens and direct access to
the school's golf course, located conveniently next door.
I joined Kingweston as Housemaster in 2024, bringing with
me extensive experience as a former first-class cricketer,
professional rugby coach, and a passionate single-figure golfer.
Having previously served as Assistant Housemaster, Assistant
Director of Sport, and Head of Academic PE at Harrow School
for seven years, I am delighted to now lead and be an integral
part of the vibrant Kingweston community. Myself and my
wife Natalie, along with our three boys, Grayson, Kayden,
and Xander, and beloved dog Bailey, have thoroughly enjoyed
our first year and look forward to many more successful and
memorable moments at Kingweston.
Situated a few miles from the main school campus, Kingweston
enjoys a distinctive identity and a strong sense of community.
Boys spend a significant amount of time together after school,
sharing evening meals in-house, socialising in comfortable
common rooms, and making the most of our extensive
grounds. This closeness fosters lasting friendships, camaraderie,
and a vibrant sense of house spirit. At Kingweston, we provide
a supportive, happy, and inclusive environment where students
feel confident to express themselves, take intellectual risks
and empowered to fulfil their academic potential and actively
engage in Millfield’s outstanding range of co-curricular
opportunities. Central to our ethos is the nurturing of a
family-like atmosphere built on trust, respect, and kindness.
We aim to inspire confidence, ensuring each boy feels secure
in expressing themselves and taking intellectual and personal
risks.
We hold high expectations of everyone in the house. You
will be expected to approach your academic studies with
enthusiasm and determination, demonstrate respect and
consideration in your interactions with staff and peers,
contribute positively to house life, and fully embrace the
remarkable opportunities available to you.
Millfield will undoubtedly present you with many challenges,
but we are committed to supporting and guiding you
throughout your journey. With the right attitude and the
exceptional support network around you, we are confident you
will thrive at Kingweston, making the very most of everything
it has to offer.
