For your better understanding, let's look at the following example question:
Mr. Chandra has 200 sacks of raw crackers with a gross of 8000 kg. If the tare of each sack of
crackers is 1.5%, calculate the net of crackers in each sack!
Solution :
a. Tare
Tara = gross × percentage of tar
= 8.000 kg × 1,5%
= 80 × 1,5
= 120 kg
b. Net
Net = gross – tar
= 8.000 kg – 120 kg
= 7.880 kg
