d. Development and Production of Scholarly Work Instructional Materials
(SWIMs)
IFSU College of Computing Sciences encourages all faculty member,
individual or in group to produce or develop a scholarly work Instructional
Materials.
The following are the process in the writing an Instructional Materials followed
by the faculty members:
1. The IM must be relevant to the present work, position or designation of the
author/s.
2. The IM will be subjected to review of external one expert with similar
specialization. The expert should evaluate the IM within 15 days.
3. The author subjects the IM for plagiarism evaluation and attach the result.
The university use both the free online software and licensed plagiarism
scanner software.
4. The Program chairperson or Dean checks if all the contents in the syllabi and
learning outcomes are fully met and plagiarism results are incorporated in
the IM. This process take place within 15 days.
5. Author submits the IM to the IM Committee Chairperson. The committee
reviews and check the IM and recommends it to the President for action within
15 days.
6. The IM will be checked and certified compliance to the rules on grammar and
format.
7. The IM shall be approved or disapproved. Once approved Author publishes
the IM or have it copyrighted.
For the College of Computing Sciences, faculty members are required by the
Dean to submit and some have started their instructional materials. The following
is the list of CCS faculty developed/compiled instructional materials:
