Ifugao State University is envisioned to be A globally recognized University
upholding excellence amidst rich cultural heritage.
I. Well Defined Objectives
The faculty member is the prime mover in the academe. In order to become a
truly effective and dynamic educational force towards making IFSU an Academic
Centers of Excellence – faculty members must work with the administration under
an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect, establish a friendly and collaborative
relations with each other, direct their immediate attention to the student, and
interact and link with the community. To be effective and efficient, faculty members
should be aware of their duties and responsibilities, university policies on
recruitment, selection, appointment and promotion of faculty members, faculty
workload, benefits, incentives, privileges and awards, and should know and be able
to implement academic processes and administrative procedures in the academe.
Specifically, the faculty development program aims the following:
a. Intensify faculty development and send more faculty for PhD.
b. Send more faculty members to Seminars, Workshops and Trainings.
II. Adequate and Relevant Projects / Activities To Achieve
Objectives
Professional development through the conduct of Seminars/Trainings and
participation to Seminars/ Trainings, membership to professional organizations,
involvement to various research and extension programs, development of
instructional materials are the active involvements of the College of Computing
Sciences faculty members. Faculty members also avail scholarship programs,
awards and entitlement of bonuses, benefits and privileges as mandated by the
university and the Commission on Higher Education.
Ifugao State University provides professional development opportunities for
all faculty in the areas of teaching, research, and scholarship. Faculty members are
periodically invited as speakers and trainers in different educational and local
government units in their line of expertise. Regular learning opportunities, agency
in house review and seminars are being conducted for the faculty to capacitate them
in research, extension and instruction.
a. SEMINARS AND TRAININGS
