EST proposals shall be prepared in line with the identified needs of the
community with consideration to the flagship priorities of the Local Government
Units of the province, DOST, PCARRD and CHED relevant to the efficient delivery
of extension services to the community. The proposals shall cover areas for the
strengthening of indigenous technologies and the dissemination of matured
technologies generated by the research undertakings of the University. Impact
training programs to be conducted shall be in support to instruction, research and
extension and community development programs of the University as a whole.
Steps on the Availment of Training
1. The faculty shall write a letter of intent to attend training/SWT with the
attachment of invitation, itinerary of activities inclusive of registration, travel
allowance, meal allowance, accommodation, and other fees and CHED
memorandum if necessary, addressed to the University president with the
recommending approval from the college dean.
2. The request will then be endorsed to the Budget office to check the availability
of funds.
3. Once the request is approved for fund ceiling, the total budget requested for
the training maybe released though cheque or maybe deposited to the
account of the faculty.
4. The faculty will prepare an authority to travel to be signed by the campus
executive director and an attached certificate of appearance to be signed by
the training sponsors.
5. The faculty shall liquidate the amount spent for the training attended upon
return and shall submit a copy of Certificate of Participation, Certificate of
appearance and back to station report to the HRD Office.
b. Membership for Professional Organizations
Membership applications to professional organizations and the like can be
availed through attending seminars and trainings which are vertically aligned with
the faculty expertise. Certified members are issued with their own membership ID
upon payment of membership fee and maybe renewed annually.
