Certi cations
HACCP – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points: con- sists of a system for analyzing signi cant hazards found in the process and in creating control measures to reduce these hazards to acceptable levels or eliminate them in order to assure production of safe products. Certi cation based on the principles of the Codex Alimentarius. HACCP-certi ed units are Araguaína (TO) and Campina Verde (MG).
BRC Food – Global Standard for Food Safety: a set of qual- ity and safety standards for food production issued by the British Retail Consortium (BRC).  e following units are BRC Food-certi ed: Barretos (SP), José Bonifácio (SP), Palmeiras de Goiás (GO), Janaúba (MG), Várzea Grande (MT), Rolim de Moura (RO), Frigomerc (PY)*, Carrasco* (UY)* and PUL (UY)*.
