Social Responsibility
At Minerva Foods, sustainability is considered a basic condition for good performance of activities.  is concept orients every level of the organiza- tion, in relation to the environment and occupa- tional safety as well as in relation to spreading best practices among units, through a virtuous cycle.  e Company contributes to the social and eco- nomic development of the regions where it main- tains operations, insofar as it provides jobs and fosters generation of income in communities.
Contracts
Every Company contract contains speci c clauses on human rights and requires compli- ance with environmental laws, occupational health and safety laws and the new Anti-Cor- ruption Act, as well as obtaining licensing and keeping it valid, among other requirements, un- der penalty of corrective actions and termina- tion of contract. Suppliers should also state that they comply with the compacts, agreements and contracts to which Minerva adheres.
In relation to labor issues, contract clauses impose restrictions on employing minors, as established in the Consolidated Labor Laws (Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho – CLT) and the Statute of Children and Adolescents (Es- tatuto da Criança e do Adolescente – ECA). In addition, suppliers must state that they do not  nance and/or acquire cattle farming products from people or companies that are included on the following lists:
