Receiving body for the following units: Barretos, Campina Verde, Rolim de Moura, José Bonifácio, Palmeiras de Goiás and Várzea Grande. Munici- pal Wastewater Treatment Station (ETE) – Janaú- ba. Fertigation/percolation trench – Araguaína.
The Company correctly complies with current law, with the average removal of BOD from Min- erva Foods units at around 80%, above what is required by law.
All ef uents generated by Minerva Foods units go through ETEs, including primary and second- ary treatment.
For the Barretos units, masonry boxes were constructed to store water for backwashing the Water Treatment Station  lters and returning
it for treatment. For the José Bonifácio unit, a tank was installed for storing water discharged from the bottom of the boiler. For the Palmei- ras de Goiás unit, a project was created to carry out fertigation, to minimize ef uents dis- charged into a receiving body. For the Janaúba unit, a water reuse center was designed for water used in the spray bath. The Araguaína unit maintains fertigation.

A technical and economic feasibility study on ef uent reuse is being done. In 2015, Araguaí- na reused water for fertigation.
Note: in 2016, the Corporate Procedure – Ef uent Management was revised and inserted into the Standard Operating Procedures, aimed at describing all activities in the ETE operating process, so as to guarantee the correct targeting of treatment and the  nal quality of the ef uent.
