On May 9th, Harvest’s Year 7 and 8 students participated in the SSSA basketball competition against schools across the Yorke Peninsula, held at the courts in Minlaton. We were thrilled to congratulate the girls who came first overall and remained undefeated throughout the day, while the boys who teamed up with Port Broughton Area School came fourth and only suffered a few losses. The day was marked by excellent sportsmanship exhibited by all participants. We thank Peter Formosa for serving as umpire throughout the day and Telysha Frost and Danielle Warde for coaching our girls’ team.
On Thursday May 4th, a group of runners from Harvest were put to the test as they traversed the cross- country course organized by Moonta Area School. We congratulate the students who have secured a place in the Northern Yorke Peninsula SAPSASA team. This team will advance to Adelaide in week 6 to compete against a larger contingent of students from across the state.
