Legal Studies On May 9th, three Legal Studies students had a fun-filled trip to Adelaide with Ms McDonald.
They had a personal tour around Parliament House with MP Fraser Ellis, then went out for lunch and a quick bout of shopping in Rundle Mall, and finally visited the Adelaide Magistrates Court, where they witnessed several cases being heard. All agreed it was a wonderful day.
STEM
On April 13th, Harvest’s Year 9 and 10 Science students travelled to the University of Adelaide’s North Terrace campus to participate in a STEM Experience Day. For many of them, this was their first experience on a tertiary campus. They heard from various STEM researchers and educators and participated in various hands-on activities: viewing insect specimens, spinach chromatography, creating a working electric motor, and investigating the iron content in breakfast cereals.
Light and Dark
On May 10th, the students in Year 1/2 explored the concept of light in their science lesson.
They discovered various ways to observe light, both within the confines of their classroom and beyond. Armed with paper and pencils, the students ventured outside and diligently documented the diverse locations where they encountered light and darkness.
