UNIONIZATION
When employees perceive their workplace as unfair, they seek outside
resources (such as a union) to help protect them and to negotiate
issues on their behalf related to employment, benefits, and policies.
ABSENTEEISM
Unscheduled absences drive up the cost of doing
business as a result of their impact on:
benefit cost – replacement workers – higher stress levels
– additional training – decrease in overall performance.
TURNOVER
Occurs when employees do not trust their management
and perceive that the company is not acting fairly
which can significantly drive up costs as a result. Litigation
LITIGATION Turnover
When legal actions are sought by employees to resolve Absenteeism
employment-related situations, it distracts management
and employees from focusing on their primary business and Unionization
creates unnecessary stress, mistakes, or delays in decision
making in addition to the financial penalties and sanctions.
