When not relaxing on deck, there’s the Tropical Bar, Piano Bar,
Captain Nemo Lounge (there’s a pattern here), and almost
continuous meals served in the dining room.

There are limitless views in any direction from anywhere on
deck, from sunrises to the romance of looking through the sails
        at the starry night sky.

A sailing ship provides unique opportunities, like climbing onto
the bowsprit net, which hangs like a hammock on either side of
the 53-foot bowsprit. Cellphones and cameras, if given the
chance, will leap into the Mediterranean.

Thrill-seeking passengers can strap on a harness and climb into
the rigging to reach the crow’s-nest 60 feet above the deck.
Rumor has it there is champagne waiting for you. Now, that’s
        motivation.

Royal Clipper is the largest of three ships in the Star Clippers
fleet that includes Star Flyer and Star Clipper. A fourth ship,
Flying Clipper, is under construction to become the cruise line’s
largest vessel, carrying 300 passengers and 140 crew members.

This may not be our last cruise on this ship.
