Cruise Itinerary and Ports

ur Royal Clipper cruise begins at Civitavecchia
with sails unfurled, lights in the masts, and

playing the theme song of the Star Clippers cruise
line, Conquest of Paradise.

We sail across the Mediterranean stopping first at the southern
tip of the French island of Corsica. The next two ports are in the

Spanish Balearic Islands before transiting the Strait of Gibraltar
to sail along the shores of North Africa and docking at Lisbon 12
nights after we board the Royal Clipper at Civitavecchia.

Throughout our entire
voyage, we’ll be sailing within
the Roman empire at its
greatest extent in 117 AD.

We have excursions at seven
of our eight ports and we
have three days at sea to
experience the wind, salt air, and waves from the deck of our
beautiful ship.

Time is limited at the ports and we will choose our shore
excursions when we get on the ship.

We’ll be ready for those once-in-a lifetime sunrises and sunsets
on deck slicing through the waves like sailors saw them almost

200 years ago. Of course, we’ll bring it into the 21 century with
an early morning or evening drink from the Tropical Bar on
deck. With the table at the back of the book, we hope to catch as
many as we can.
