Recommendations

1. Policy/guidelines on proper monitoring inventory

and calibration of laboratory facilities may be crafted

and strictly imposed. Laboratory staff may be sent

to appropriate trainings to capacitate them in doing

inventory and calibration. Availing the services of an

expert agency in calibration is also suggested.

2. Coordination with DENR on proper disposal of used

and expired chemicals may be done. Laboratory

staff may be capacitated in addressing concern.

3. Construction of an appropriate drainage system

particularly in laboratory may be considered in the

fund allocation.

4. Comprehensive waste management initiatives may

be implemented, giving particular attention to the

issue on laboratory waste disposal.
