Growth hormone หลั่งมากเกินไป Growth hormone หลั่งน้อยเกินไป

• Gigantism (children) • Dwarfism

• Acromegaly (adult)

เซลล์ใน pars distalis ที่ติดสีแบบ basophil ประกอบด้วยเซลล์ 3 ชนิด:

Gonadotroph > สร้างฮอร์โมน gonadotropin มี 2 ชนิด คือ

• Follicular-stimulating hormone (FSH):

• Leutinizing hormone (LH)

• หน้าที่: ควบคุมการท างานของ ovary และ testis

Thyrotroph > สร้างฮอร์โมน Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH)

• หน้าที่: ควบคุมการท างานของ thyroid gland

Corticotroph > สร้างฮอร์โมน Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)

• หน้าที่: ควบคุมการการท างานของ adrenal gland
