Page 35 - Dossier de renouvellement de l’accréditation CII
P. 35
I don’t envisage that an on-site visit will be required for this year’s accreditation review. Instead, we would like to
use video-conferencing to carry out the observation of training. We have recently used Skype for Business to
carry out observations and we may be able to use different software if you don’t have Skype.
Information required
To enable us to progress the review, would you please send me:
An up-to-date brochure or summary of all training programmes for CII units offered by CFPA
A schedule of delivery for CII accredited courses – for 2017 and 2018
Details of current trainers and, for any new trainers, their qualifications and professional experience
Overview of roles and responsibilities
Details of the process for ensuring that training materials remain up-to-date
Training materials for CII revision courses
A summary of delegate feedback and trainer observation feedback
Details of the actions taken to address the requirements and recommendations identified from last
year’s annual review. I have listed these below for ease of reference :
Requirements
Requirements are intended to provide guidance and support in the ongoing development of the insurance
training provision. Where a shortfall exists between the evidence reviewed and CII accreditation standards itis
a requirement that any area is remedied in order to maintain CII accreditation:
1) As part of the training design standards: ensure course material (eg PowerPoint) contains the learning
objectives and that these are communicated clearly at the beginning of the session and reviewed at the
end
Recommendations
Recommendations highlight areas which CFPA may wish to consider when benchmarking its insurance training
provision against industry standards. CII recommends that CFPA considers :
a) Ensure learning objectives are phrased in a SMART manner
b) Avoid red text on PowerPoint because some delegates find it difficult to read
Please provide this by 22 February to support the timely completion of this review.
Annual review invoice and contract
The annual review fee under the current contract is £8,250. However, I propose that we replace the current
contract and amend the fee effective 22 February 2018 to reflect the reduced scope of the accreditation
review work. Technological advances mean that we are now able to carry out observations by Skype, reducing
both the need to travel and associated time and cost. Consequently, the accreditation review fee for 2018
would be £5,250.
Please confirm your agreement and I will arrange for you to receive the invoice and amended contract for
signature.
