Could you share your path to becoming the President of Clyde Paul Agency, Inc.?
The insurance agency has been a part of my family for 61 years, which is 22 years longer than I've been alive! As a child, I watched my father transition from running a painting business to venturing into the insurance industry. His energy for life, passion for working with people, and dedication to the growth of the insurance
agency were truly inspiring.
After college, I embarked on my career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), spending five years in New York City and two years in London. My time at PwC as a Certified Public Accountant exposed me to diverse leadership skills, as I worked with both inspiring and challenging personalities within a corporate setting. Working as a CPA provided invaluable firsthand experience with top Fortune 500 companies, enabling me to understand their operations and learn best practices for running a company.
I am proud to be the third-generation owner of Clyde Paul Agency, Inc. In 2009, my father unexpectedly passed away due to an unknown heart condition. Tragically, my grandfather, who founded the agency, also lost his battle with cancer around the same time. Over the years, my father and I had discussed my potential involvement in the agency. After their passing, I recognized that if I didn't step in, the agency would cease to exist. At the age of 29, I made the decision to leave PwC and channel all
