my energy into moving the insurance agency forward. Fortunately, the agency team, who had worked alongside my father and grandfather, provided unwavering support and dedication to the business and our clients.
While I had hoped for different circumstances in joining the agency, I am grateful for the opportunities insurance has provided. It allows me to directly assist small businesses and families, making a tangible impact on their lives. Moreover, it provides me with the opportunity to build a team that shares my values and vision.
As a female leader, what has been the most challenging obstacle you've faced in your career?
I am grateful for the trailblazing women who have overcome tremendous obstacles to be hired, promoted, and recognized in management roles. I appreciate the time that strong women leaders have invested in me and the knowledge they have imparted. I also value the relationships I have developed with my peers, both women and men, who continue to make the insurance industry a great place to work for all.
Personally, I have never viewed my gender as an obstacle. Instead, I have focused on my work, continuous learning, preparation, and nurturing relationships. These elements, combined with a strong work ethic, have propelled me toward my goals.
Apart from your time at Pricewaterhouse- Coopers, how did you develop your leadership skills?
Growing up in a large family taught me invaluable lessons. As the oldest of five kids, my parents instilled in us the values of teamwork, contributing to the household, and the importance of family. Selfishness had no place in our home. We learned to share the family car, contribute to yard work, and care for our younger siblings. The support and encouragement I received from my family
instilled in me the confidence to pursue my goals despite the challenges of being a business owner.
Engaging in sports also played a significant role in shaping my life. As a child, I had a passion for playing various sports, particularly basketball and lacrosse. Being part of these teams instilled in me the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. These days, when my son scores a lacrosse goal, I remind him that it is only possible because the goalie saved it and cleared the ball to him first. This highlights the importance of every position and working together towards a common goal. I cherish my memories of playing lacrosse at West Morris Central and Lehigh University, and I credit my teammates for shaping the person I am today. The concept of "There is no 'I' in team" still resonates in my daily life. At Clyde Paul Agency, we collaborate on client accounts to provide the best insurance protection and experience. We support one another to ensure every team member has the necessary resources to succeed.
I am grateful for the trailblazing women who have overcome tremendous obstacles to be hired, promoted, and recognized in management roles.
What changes have you witnessed in the industry during your 14 years as president of your agency?

However, in recent years, especially after COVID-19, insurance carriers and agencies have been advancing at an
