Practice Wear
1. Tops : - All athletes are to wear anything they can tumble and stunt in.
- All girls are to wear appropriate undergarments under their practice tank/tee (sport bras or cami tank tops).
- A black and purple tee/tank will be provided for practice wear. Any past season tanks/tees are acceptable.
2. Bottoms: Any athletic shorts or leggings are acceptable practice wear. Athletic shorts must have a 2 1/2 inch inseam.
 3. Cheer Shoes: Required for all practices.

- We do not require a specific brand (exception is Senior 5 Restricted). Parents purchase shoes independently.
 - We recommend: Varsity (any style), and Nike Sideline (great for younger girls).

- Not all brands fit the same (“Sports Machine” in Colerain has a variety of shoes to try on in store.)
4. Hair: Girls hair should be pulled up with a bow, scrunchie, or hair piece.

Athletes:

1. Come to practice dressed, with all training equipment, & ready to go on time.
2. Any additional items, back packs, drinks, or snacks need to be kept in the lobby cubbies or the cubbies located inside the Storm
Zone. Do not bring valuables to the gym. Kids First is not liable for lost of stolen items.
3. Only water or sports drink should be used to hydrate athletes during practices. If you need to bring a snack be sure that you
choose wisely. Food is Fuel!
4. Be sure to talk to your coach openly about any ailment or injury as soon as it arises. Physical issues that go unresolved can be
detrimental to yourself and your teammates.
5. Respect: You may not always like or get along with every member of your team, but you must Respect them. If you have an issue
with a teammate, please bring it to them & your team coach’s attention respectfully. We do not encourage gossiping.
6. Talk to your coach openly about any ailment or injury as soon as it arises. Physical issues that go unresolved can be detrimental to
yourself and your teammates.
7. Come to practice well rested, with a positive attitude, & good work ethic. If you are having a stinky day tell your coach! Open
communication is key to building healthy relationships & it might leave you feeling better having talked about it.

Your coach is not a mind reader (even though we wish we were!), so let them know if you are struggling.
8. Ask permission to leave the gym during practice. This applies to leaving practice early, using the restroom, getting a drink etc.
Safety is our #1 concern.
9. When you are waiting for a ride home, always wait inside the Kids First doors. We do not allow athletes to wait outside.
Parents:
1. If you have a quick question for a coach please address it before or after practice. For lengthier conversations, please email your coach to set up a dedicated time to chat.
2. No Bleacher Talk during practice. This is not the place to talk about athletes other than your own. It will not be tolerated.
3. Talking to or “coaching” your athlete over the glass wall negatively disrupts practice, please refrain from doing so.
4. Help your child understand all that she/he needs for practices & competitions and encourage personal responsibility!
