significado por el contexto.

La negación en oraciones con can
La negación se construye con la partícula not

I can not swim (no sé nadar)

Aunque en muchas ocasiones can y not se fusionan en can’t: y could y not se fusionan en couln’t
I can’t swim (no sé nadar)

They couldn’t hear anything. (No pudieron oír nada).
