Inspiring, innovative & igniting thoughts, when crafted with beautiful words have
power to transform the souls & society. Power of words is enormous to instill hope
& encouragement into the lives of the people.

It gives me an immense pleasure & privilege to launch “Doha CAnnect”,
e-newsletter of the Doha Chapter of the ICAI & release its first edition. The
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established
by an Act of Parliament for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountancy
in India & is the second largest accounting body in the world. Doha Chapter of
the ICAI is the oldest overseas chapter among its 43 chapters currently.

“Doha CAnnect” aims at encouraging members to share knowledge, sharpen
skills & showcase creativity. The larger objective of the newsletter is to provide
platform to members to express their expertise, upskill themselves & engage
them further into the chapter activities.

The articles authored by the erudite members represent well-researched topics,
adept articulation & their rich practical experiences. The diverse background of
the members & chosen topics, underscore strength of the profession. I sincerely
acknowledge the committed efforts put in by the authors. Doha CAnnect has
many interesting sections - such as success stories & inspiring achievements,
quizzes, article from an overseas chapters leader, speakers’ feedbacks, words of
wisdom from the Past Chairperson CA George Thomas, to name a few. One
section which deserves special mention is kids’ corner wherein smart & talented
children of the members have ably demonstrated their creativity. BIG thanks to
them & their parents.

I commend & offer sincere gratitude to the members, speakers & all contributors
who have come forward to share their knowledge selflessly with a wider pool of
professionals. By contributing to this newsletter, they have not only set an

example but also have established a legacy to inspire everyone. As quoted
