Department Store Monument

Students, this time I want you to do something different. I want you
to draw the layout or map of a town. Get a piece of paper, please!
Do what I tell you to do, okay. Ready?
Draw a circle right in the middle of your paper. This is the centre
point of a town. In the middle of the circle, draw a monument. Next,
draw the main street of the town, which goes from north to south
until the circle. Draw another main street, which goes from south to
north. Ready?
Now, write down the name of the street which is to the north of
the circle Jalan Diponegoro. Okay, next, write the name of the street
which goes from south to north Jalan Sudirman. You get it? Okay,
now draw another main street, which goes from west to east until it
reaches the circle. The name of this street is Jalan Hatta. Then, draw
another one, which goes from east to west. It is Jalan Soekarno. There
is another street, which goes from west to east in the middle of Jalan
Diponegoro. Draw it! Ready? The name of this street is Jalan Cut Nyak
Dien. The opposite of Jalan Cut Nyak Dien, which goes from east to
west, is Jalan Teuku Umar. Draw it! There is a long street, which goes
from east to west. This street passes through middle of Jalan Sudirman.
It’s Hang Tuah. Draw it!
At the corner of Jalan Teuku Umar and Jalan Diponegoro, there
is a large field with a pond in the middle. Draw it! There are a lot of
trees around the field. At the corner of the circle between Jalan Hatta
and Jalan Sudirman there is a five star hotel. Next to the hotel, there is
a department store. Before the hotel, there is a supermarket where most
of the people living around the area do their shopping there. Draw it,
please! Ready? At the bottom of the right hand side corner, there is a
large sport complex with three big buildings and a gymnasium. Draw
those buildings. Next to it is gymnasium. The one facing Jalan Sudirman
is a hall. Behind this building is the administration building. On the
left side at the bottom, there is a housing complex. Across the street
from the housing complex is the office at the ministry of education.
