‘Too right! Slick‘n Sticky,’ he answered, and they all laughed. Charles and his sister divided the leftover posters to put up at their schools. Saffron got to school early. There was hardly
anyone about, but as she was pinning the last
poster up on the notice board of the main foyer, Mr
Worragul arrived. He lived on an indigenous community farm at the other side
of town and rode his bicycle to school every day. Kids who caught the school bus told
tales of his hair-raising exploits ... dodging trucks on the
