The Cheeseburgers gave it a real HEAVY METAL feel, with ear- curdling growls, howling guitars and drum solos. Saffron thought she had never heard them sound better and found herself looking forward to Saturday night. The band practice finished, Wolf and Linda headed home and Charles went inside with his sister.
The constant squabbling between brother and sister might get on their parents' nerves, but they trusted each other for mutual support in time of need. Saffron showed her family the still- photos she had printed.
‘They’re good, but did you have to use my best photo paper?’ asked Angie.
‘Sorry Ange,' murmured her daughter, ‘wasn’t thinking.’
‘How about we use them as backgrounds on dance posters?’ said Charles. ‘I talked to the head-teacher today and she said it would be fine for the dance to publicise the Green Mountain campaign. We can make some new posters right now and put them up around the school tomorrow. Remind me to give some to Phil, next door, in the morning. He’ll put them up at his school so their seniors can come.’
Dinner that night was fried rice and salad. The kids put theirs in super-sized bowls and ate it in front of the computer while they designed the posters. They printed thirty of them out - on recycled paper - and placed them next to the front door so they would be ready to take in the morning.
