Formed in 2011, Function loops have achieved wide acclaim in 4 years for supplying producers and djs with high quality sample packs that are guaranteed to help with the creative process if you are just starting a track, or if you need a bit of inspiration.
“Big shots” is pretty self explanatory. A great collection of drum and percussion sounds that are a perfect starting point to get a track going, with the building blocks of many a good drum pattern. The claps range from single, sharp, snappy claps, to more layered ones. The kicks are punchy, and have all the classic 808 style analogue ones thrown in as well. Add to that a great collection of hats, cymbals and a huge selection of percussion, this is a great collection of sounds to act as the building blocks for a wide range of styles.
“Ibiza percussion loops” gives you over 200mb of great loops that, some at least, could be used as the basis for any good percussive house track. Whilst all of them will sit nicely layered in any track to give it energy and movement. Ranging from very minimal loops, perfect for layering on top of each other, to more complete loops bursting with tribal sounds. A good selection of synth percussion is included aswell for a more techy, mechanical sound, and some are nicely processed just the right of distortion. But all the loops leave the user with the right amount of freedom to add their own creative touches. Plus all of the sounds used are of such good quality, you can easily pick individual sounds out and use them as you please.
All is all a great collection of sounds and the 2 packages combined give any producer, from bedroom to seasoned veteran, a rich melting pot of squeeks and bleeps to pick from.
